Gucci has come up with a new range of handbags that is said to feature a highly tactile design that combines ladylike style with youthful glamour. The Gucci Autumn/Winter 2014-15 collection of handbags comprises of a series of unlined leather handbags that are practical, versatile, and perfect to carry. Collectively, this range is named as ‘The Jackie Soft’ line.

With the perfection of Florentine craftsmanship, the handbags come in charming pastel shades and feature the distinctive piston closure from the original style. Colours range from the sophisticated and classic to the fresh and bright: nut brown, classic camel, chardonnay, stone, aquamarine, dark zest, mystic white, to name a few.

The materials used include grained and natural Grand Prix leather, which allows unlined construction and confers softness and lightness. The bags are also offered in python, crocodile and leopard-printed ponyskin. Adjustable shoulder straps with cufflinks and zippered internal pockets further add to the bags’ practicality. Notably, all styles feature hand-painted edges.

Jackie Hobo comes in new dimensions, in two sizes, and features a spacious shape for everyday sophistication. The Tote is soft, chic and a functional style that comes in three sizes to meet a variety of needs. The Shoulder Bag isa young, stylish, compact bag that embodies the modern ladylike mood of the collection. The Clutch comes in a shape that is an ideal option for daywear. Gucci’s iconic Jackie Bag was reintroduced into the House repertoire by Frida Giannini in 2009. It famously takes its name from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, for whom it was a preferred accessory.
