Crème de la crème of the capital gathered for a classic soiree for the store launch of Atelier Kanika J Singh

The upmarket and affluent D block of Defence Colony, which houses India's many well-known designers, buzzed with gorgeous people on a summer evening as fashion designer Kanika J Singh opened the shutters of one of the first Atelier house in the capital. The young designer launched her store with some bubbly wine, delicious gourmet cupcakes and a big bang.

The designer's debut store opened in style with a hi-tea party and saw the crème da la crème of Delhi chatting enthusiastically about the hues and silhouettes of the designs as they posed for some selfies which is quite the norm today! The studio is charmingly decorated with the classic hues of pale pinks, whites and grey. It's all about class and the aura of vintage decor highlighted beautifully with Victorians fans and  fresh flowers.

Kanika J Singh is not a new name in the fashion and retail industry and has an export house of her own. After graduating from the Pearl Academy Of Fashion, she worked under French Couture House for seven years. She started her production house where craftsman create each and every piece with sheer hard work and utter elegance.

"I have worked in the international fashion industry for as long as 13 years, dressing up names like Beyonce and Katherine Heigl" says the young designer wearing a pretty, self-designed green gown. It was only natural for her to take the leap of catering to the Indian retail segment. While she launches her debut store, she is currently working along with designers who are constantly showcasing their collection at the New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. 

The atelier launch collection is a beautiful Spring/Summer collection. Classy cocktail to opulent evening gowns is what you can expect at her store. The collection has been crafted out of Duchesse Satin, Silk, Chiffon, Lurex and Satin Organza. Enhancing the beauty of the luxurious fabric are colors such as white, black, pink and hues of green. Giving the spark to the collection are big bold summer prints along with soothing ombre. From summer printed dresses, color block pieces to ombre gowns- you can find it all here.
