Actress Sonam Kapoor known for her fabulous avant garde fashion sensibilities was the showstopper for designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla wearing a black multi panelled net flared gown minutely detailed in gold and mirror in three dimensional lotuses embellished with Swarovski crystals, metallic gold sequins and beads as she stole many hearts.

She also wore the ruby red 10 kali ghagra embroidered with gold metallic beads, styled with simple dupatta and a blouse highlighted with three dimensional metallic gold beads. "I have grown up wearing Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, right from my first public appearance for my movie Saavariya to my recent one at Cannes 2015. Be it the anarkali or dhoti pants, they have created them all, way ahead of their time, making them a trend that they are today! I am delighted to have presented 2 gorgeous looks from their collection Varanasi (a place close to my heart since I have shot there), at this opening of this season's BMW India Bridal Fashion Week.
