I have grown up with tea gardens flanking my home in Darjeeling. Seeing tea being plucked every season and being able to smell the fresh fragrance of the green leaves is a way of life that I miss in the city. I don’t miss any opportunity that gives me a chance to savour the delicate flavours of tea. So when I was invited to the newly rebranded Roseate Hotel & Resorts to savour the newly launched global luxury brand TWG tea at their Kiyan restaurant, I was definitely not going to give it a miss.

The Singaporean tea brand being introduced to India for the first time at the Roseate Hotel and Roseate House is an experience for true tea connoisseurs especially as Indians, we are known for our tea habits even setting our time table according to tea time. TWG manages and operates Tea rooms and lounges across the world. TWG by the way stands for The Wellbeing Group and was founded in 2008 as luxury concept incorporating unique and interesting tea rooms.

A small close knit group of bloggers sat together to sample the tea along with delicacies that was being served under the watchful eyes of chef Nishant Choubey. The tea menu itself had been carved out after careful selection from several tea tasting sessions and features an exclusive range of premium blends such as Singapore Breakfast Tea, Silver Moon Tea, 1837 Black Tea, Geisha Blossom Tea, French Earl Grey Tea and Red of Africa Tea.

Beginning from the Crème Caramel, the delicate red tea bled from South Africa to the Imperial Oolong  with its fruity flavour it was an experience that lingered long after you left the beautiful hotel premises.

This experience will be made available to guests in rooms and restaurants at The Roseate New Delhi and in the suitesat Roseate House New Delhi. TWG Tea and merchandise will be availableat Kiyan at The Roseate New Delhi and in the tea lounge ‘Roasted ‘at Roseate House New Delhiwhere guests will have access to an array of luxury epicurean products that include precious Russian Samovars, Artisan Tea Tins andsignature Design teapots, a symbol of contemporary elegance and classic style. The outlets will also offer tea-infused jellies blended with some of TWG Tea’s most popular teas. If you are a tea connoisseur this is one that cannot be based because of its exquisite blend with sharp Asian nuances to it.
