Usually, when one says "Polo" the first thing most people imagine is the swish set turning out in fancy clothes and hats, sipping on expensive wines and champagnes. There's no denying that high-fashion and polo are inseparable but Polo is also taken seriously as a sport by it's regular set of followers. In Delhi the Jaipur Polo Ground becomes a regular venue for those who take this sport seriously and the turn out is mind blowing whenever a match is held.

 

The finale of the Maharaja Sir Pratap Cup was recently hosted at Jaipur Polo Grounds, Delhi by Nalin Gupta of The Social Network and Soniya Singh of The Empress Polo. It was attended by the city's glitterati and the royals who have been playing and promoting the sport since decades. They were seen cheering the players while enjoying a warm Sunday afternoon.

 

 

 

 

 

After the match ended, a vintage car show and an art exhibition were also organised.

Amongst the guests were Shallu Jindal, Pawan Munjal, Vijaya Singh Princess of Jhabua, Narendra Singh and Dia Kumari from the royal family of Jaipur. Naveen Jindal and Padmanabh Singh were amongst the polo players.
