3003 BC - Bespoke Perfumes,  a luxury destination for perfumes recently launched their digital platform in India to lure the well-heeled strata of the country.3000BC is all about offering personalised luxury fragrance service, a first of its kind service to create exclusive fragrance for crème de la crème of the society.

Involving  a four step process, it  includes close consultation with the perfumer, creation of the fragrance, experience and personalisation. The journey of designing this exclusive process takes about 12-16 weeks. It is during the experience phase that the customised fragrance sample is sent to the client where he lives with the perfume for 7-10 days and gives a feedback on his experience. Based on this, the fourth step is that of personalisation which is the arrival to the final bespoke product.

Once the scent is selected, the equally important process of choosing the bottle, name and design of the label begins. You can choose from the exclusive hand-picked collection of bottles or have it personalised by celebrated glass designers such as Peter Layton or Srila Mookherjee, crafted according to your style, dreams and designs. The final bottle then, gets delivered in its exquisite hand-crafted box with an original creator’s certificate of authenticity.

The brand has collaborated with Master Perfumer John Stephen who was present at the launch event. He  spoke on how fragrances are created, the prices and the regulations behind it. Some fragrance sticks were handed out and asked to identify the fragrance notes, which of course, is not an easy job.  John Stephen has to his credit over 40 years of experience and has successfully created bespoke perfumes for HH The Queen of England and members of the Royal Family along with well known global brands. Celebrities like Elton John, Pierce Brosnan, Ozzy Osbourne, Yoko Ono have also used perfumes created by him.“Perfume creation is a craft that requires a fine balance of art and science”. The starting price point for the bespoke experience in fragrance starts from INR 5 lakhs onwards.
