Playground at the JW Mariott, Aerocity, New Delhi is easily one of the most luxe eating place. To reach this fine place you need to go past the Akira Back restaurant, reach an open air foyer and spot the el fresco area where you will be welcomed by the very colourful truck that will serve you perfect classics, such as the fish and chips, the burrata-beautifully plated, the prawn ajillo among many other cult favourites. It is here on a very fine Delhi winter afternoon the table has been laid beautifully for a select handful of foodies and we are one of them that we partake of these delicacies in a happy chatter of print versus digital (everyone's favourite subject these days) of popular truck cuisines and a fine elaborated conversation by expatriate mixologist from Tel Aviv, Tzvika Furman on the drinks he is serving.

The brunch is all about gourmet truck food which includes a huge burger lined with juicy strips of uncountable bacon served with flavoured French fried, very seductive pork ribs, all finished with salted caramel crème brulee and valrohna chocolate cake.

If you have had your fill of the truck food, walk in to the bar and restaurant, spacious expanse, a statement in concrete and wood highlighting the industrial-chic. Dash of colours on the wall bring in the street art elements of the truck from outside.

The finale is the speakeasy  that has hidden camouflaged door with a card scan entrance leading you to a private bar with the best of the drinks are displayed on the well built shelves. Here is the place where you can throw a lavish evening with friends who appreciate lounging on Timothy Oulton sofas with single malt whiskys.
