North India Sotheby’s International Realty hosted the two day conclave Global Luxury Realty Conclave in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the capital recently. Partnered by other apex industry bodies like Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Price water house Coopers (PwC), the two-day event  debated about the Luxury real estate sector with the top business minds in the industry. The conclave provided an International networking platform comprising of real estate industry experts, select international and  domestic developers, tax advisories, HNIs, creative leaders, as well as luxury observers and innovators.  The event covered an extensive range of topics of interest to the stakeholders such as ‘Impact of changing policies on Indian real estate’; ‘Evolving real-estate market and trends’; ‘Impact of international events on global real estate’, ‘Factors affecting Indians buying abroad’; ‘NRI potential across the world’, ‘Citizenship by investment’ and many more.

Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, discussed the impact of demonetisation on the economy and the real estate industry. According him there is a great amount of excitement and brand awareness and also a great amount of demand for luxury products driven by the young population of India. He also highlighted the historic association of India with luxury since the 'Maharaja' days.

As part of the conclave the 51^st Edition of The Annual Statesman Vintage Car Rally, was also organized by The Statesman group which was graced by the crème de la crème of the society. The first of its kind book photographed and curated by photographer Varun Joshi, highlights the age-old charm and glorious 50 years of the vintage car rally.
