Beautiful ladies with substance got together to discuss the most important topic of today - raising the millennial children, the issues faced by the parents in the world of today where every second is invaded by the internet. Dr Ekta Chadha, well-known dental surgeon and smile desginer mentioned the research by ADA that decaying teeth and gum problems make one in three young adults aged 18 to 34 (33%) reluctant to smile. About one in five have cut back on socializing as a result of dental problems. And 28% say the appearance of their teeth and mouth undermines their ability to interview for a job. She emphasised the fact that how such situations can affect the self confidence of the child.
Kavita Ghai, nutritionist made some crucial point on how the generation is very demanding and expects excellence but make some nutrition mistakes. "Their dependence on processed foods is worrisome as this is fuelling the lifestyle diseases epidemic, and so is their tendency to get their health information from internet, which is not always right, and actually ends up confusing their mind and body both," she said
A rapt audience including journalist, mothers and few children took notice as Dr Ekta rightly put it "you can enhance your teeth digitally, but you can't photoshop yourself to good dental health."
