Hublot enters the field of cricket
Swiss watch maker Hublot has now entered the world of cricket as the official timekeeper for the forthcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand.
This marks the first time that a luxury brand has associated itself with the gentleman’s game. Cricket is followed and watched by much fanfare in India and thus, it was only obvious for the brand to seal its presence in Cricket in India. Another similar event was also organized in Australia to make this announcement whilst also declaring Australian captain Michael Clarke as the brand’s newest ambassador. Clarke will also be the face of Hublot’s new advertising campaign dedicated to the sport.

David Richardson, Ricardo Guadalupe and Harbhajan Singh with the new Classic Fusion Chrono Cricket
The first event was held recently in New Delhi at the Ambience Leela Hotel, in the presence of Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot and David Richardson, Chief Executive of the ICC. The press conference saw the unveiling of the new special watch dedicated to this new association- a Classic Fusion Chrono Cricket watch, by Indian Cricketer Harbhajan Singh. There are several special details on the watch- all of which make subtle references to the sport.
It also organised the Hublot and ICC charity event for Smile Foundation- the "Bowl for a Million Rupee Charity Challenge", where Hublot's Champion Ambassador Harbhajan Singh took part in and quite enthusiastically so! Held in the neighbouring Ambience Mall, the event raised a million rupees for Smile Foundation and was witnessed and cheered on by the shoppers present at the mall.
