Lange pays tribute to its founder
German luxury watch manufacturer A Lange & Sohne will pay tribute to its founder Walter Lange who started his watch manufacturing company at the age of 66 when most people think of retiring. He brought back precision watchmaking back to Glashutte and revitalised the manufactory of his forefathers making it a success within a span of four years.
The Homage to Walter Lange watch is combination of a stoppable sweep seconds hand, a black enamel dial and a steel case reflects the eminent heritage of the Saxon watchmaking dynasty. It will be auctioned on 13 May 2018, in Geneva for the benefit of the children’s charity, Children Action Foundation. Before the auction, the watch will be presented at six locations on a worldwide preview tour. This single watch will be auctioned for charity by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo
