Master couturier and well known fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani opened the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014, in Delhi, today with a display of extraordinary pieces of jewelry worn by beautiful models on the ramp. Taking inspiration from the rich traditional history of India the statement pieces included the South Indian Necklace series, the Satlada inspired series and the Mughal inspired series. 

Mesmerized fashionistas stayed glued as the designer known for his awe-inspiring drapes sent out models on the ramp wearing village-belle skirts, saris, jackets, scarves, shirts and kaftans in rich colours. The designer blurred the lines between adorning and dressing as he unveiled with aplomb collars and cuffs that looked like a fine pieces of jewellery.  He played with fabrics that included velvets and nets flatteringly standing out with fine golden, Swarovski and other precious embellishments.
